Sign Up for Assistance Programs

Recovery goes better when the basics are covered. Below are official Ohio benefit programs that can help with health coverage, food, child care, and getting to your appointments — along with a link to apply for each.

These are official State of Ohio programs, administered by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Miami Valley Recovery is not affiliated with these programs, but our team is happy to answer questions or help point you in the right direction — just ask.

Ohio Medicaid

Ohio Medicaid provides health care coverage for eligible individuals and families, including children, pregnant women, adults, and people with disabilities. It can help cover the cost of medical care, including behavioral health and addiction treatment services.

SNAP (Food Assistance)

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) helps people with low incomes buy healthy food. It's designed to stretch your grocery budget and support better nutrition for you and your family while you focus on your recovery.

Early Care and Education

Early Care and Education helps families pay for child care and preschool. This includes Publicly Funded Child Care, the Child Care Choice Voucher Program, and the Ohio Preschool Program — support that can make it easier to attend appointments, work, or school while your children are cared for.

Transportation Assistance

If you’re covered by Medicaid and having trouble getting to health care appointments, transportation assistance may be available through your Medicaid or MyCare Ohio plan. Call the number for your plan below, or contact the Ohio Medicaid Consumer Hotline at 1.800.324.8680.

If you’re not a managed care or MyCare member, contact the Medicaid Transportation Coordinator at your local county Job and Family Services office. For wheelchair van transportation, you can also find a provider directly — narrow your search by transportation/wheelchair van.
